How to Heal from Trauma - Part 2

This is the last of a two-part series in which I will discuss trauma. Listen to the attached video for a summary of this article.

Part 2 - 10 Minute Video on Trauma

Is the second and final series of healing from trauma, I will share a few tips on how you can begin healing from trauma.

As previously discussed in Video 1, understanding we all have trauma means we all need to heal from trauma to find clarity and live our best life. If you have not already watched video 1 – Healing from Trauma, please click on the link above.

To begin healing from trauma, we must have the energy required to start and complete the process.

Imagine you were asked to run a marathon and proceeded to do nothing to prepare for the race. Even if you did not intend to win or place in the competition, you would more than likely not complete the marathon without proper training. Exhaustion would overtake your will to finish, and you would be susceptible to injury due to lack of preparation.

Likewise, you would not want to have a surgeon start a procedure and decide to stop in the middle of the process. This would likely cause a plethora of issues.

When your body is imbalanced, it does not have the energy to do any “extra” work. Maintaining life and bodily function is the number one priority of your body. Therefore, if your body is working overtime just to keep things running, it does not have the energy needed to detox or heal deeper issues, such as trauma.

In my practice, I typically see clients begin to heal from trauma after they have been on the program long enough for the body to achieve some balance. At this point, trauma will often begin to surface on its own, as the body looks to heal on a deeper level.

Trauma healing may begin shortly after one is one my Mineral Balancing Program, or it can take years. This is all normal as we are all unique with various levels of available energy. It is best to not worry about your trauma but to let your body heal and deal with trauma as you are ready. Trust me, you will know!

When trauma healing occurs, I can help clients work through the process. Often it may be as simple as assuring them that they are okay and the emotions that have surfaced are “good” even if they do not feel good. Since the body is now strong enough to deal with the trauma, this healing process can move fairly quickly and healing can occur rapidly, especially when handled correctly.

The most important thing I ask clients to do is to allow the negative emotions to pass through them. If you continue to fight the emotions and bury them, they will continue to fester and healing cannot occur.

I recommend Michael Singer’s book “The Untethered Soul”. In this amazing read, Michael offers directions for feeling/identifying the trauma and then releasing the trauma. Once a trauma is released, it will not return. This is the healing we all desire. Unfortunately, it is natural to squelch trauma and negative emotions when they surface, delaying a full healing experience.

While the process of feeling the emotions that arise can be unpleasant, sitting with the emotion(s) and allowing it to process, will permanently remove the trauma from your life.

Removing trauma greatly improves your health! We know that epigenetics indicate that our thoughts control our health and therefore trauma healing is an important part of any journey towards wellness. The best book, (and a must read), on the subject of epigenetics is “The Biology of Belief” by Bruce Lipton.

Since traumas are continually part of life on this planet, knowing how to release trauma is something we all need to learn.

In a nutshell here is the approach I recommend:

1.    Start a properly designed Mineral Balancing Program.

2.    Meditate daily as this practice is an amazing tool in healing trauma.

3.    Prepare for deeper trauma healing by reading “The Untethered Soul”. Having the tools ready to use is a great help when trauma arises.

4.    Contact me if you are struggling or need help with the process.

5.    In extreme cases, counseling or other techniques such as EFT may help, and I can direct you to other sources to assist with the healing process as needed.

Please contact me if you have any further questions and trust your body’s ability to heal when you give it what it needs. Remember Hippocrates said:

“Healing is a matter of time, but it is sometimes also a matter of opportunity”
