Wildfire Smoke Exposure

Currently many have been exposed to wildfire smoke. While I am not stating there is no danger to the exposure to wildfire smoke, it is best not to panic.

After further research, I discovered an article explaining the dangers and a link to a live Air Quality Index (AQI) where you can calculate your risk of exposure in your area.

For example, today, June 8th, 2023, the AQI in New York city is 203 and if you were outdoors for 24 hours with this AQI level, the danger is equivalent to smoking 6.98 cigarettes. For some taking a walk and being outdoors may not seem too risky while others may choose to avoid all exposure and stay indoors.

Calculating your risk can help you decide if you want to venture outdoors and if so for how long, or if you want to stay inside.

Furthermore, While a mask may protect your from large particles like spores or wildfire ash, masks do not provide protection from wildfire smoke or breathing-emitted pathogens, according to study by the NIH published in November of 2022.

Ten Tips for Detoxifying from Wildfire Smoke:

1.      Follow your Mineral Balancing program. Your program is designed to balance your body and allows you to detox. This is the most important element to adequately detoxing. Mineral Balancing = Detoxification.

2.      Use an in-home air filter. My favorite is the Atlas Air Filter.

3.      Do coffee enemas. This may sound unrelated, but the liver detoxes gases from the body. Strengthen the liver so you can better detox from the toxicity of the smoke.

4.      Drink lots of water! Water is essential for adequate detoxification.

5.      Drink marshmallow root, slippery elm, or peppermint tea. Hot liquids encourage cilium to move and assist in the removal of contaminated mucous and saliva.

6.      Rinse out nasal passage, eyes, and ears with Ion Biome.

7.      If you do not have Ion Biome, use a saline solution for nasal passages and rinse the eyes with Juuva Silver.

8.   Use a Neti Pot with a pinch of salt or Ion Biome to wash out nasal passages.

9.   Use a nebulizer as directed. Nebulizing can help improve breathing and clean out the lungs.

10. Use a NEAR infrared light on your lungs and/or spend extra time in a NEAR Infrared Sauna.
