Recipes – Smashed Turnips
An easy and delicious way to serve turnips!
4 cups of cubed turnips
2 cups of chicken, beef or vegetable stock
1 diced onion
3 to 4 cloves of garlic
Cook the turnips in water for 20 minutes or until soft. Drain the turnips. Return them to the pan and add the onion and garlic. Cook for another 10 to 15 minutes. Use a hand blender or mixer to mash the turnips. Serve with sea salt and butter to taste, (adding the right amount of butter for your eating plan).
You can add herbs and seasonings to give this recipe a different flavor and kick.
